Boys Basketball City Tournament

Congratulations to our championship teams! The 7th grade C Panthers coached by Marty Strohofer defeated their Panther classmates coached by Bob Booth for this year's title. The champion Panthers were also the only undefeated Panther team in league play this year, going a perfect 10-0.

The 6th grade B Panthers coached by Mel Rodriguez defeated St. Ignatius in the title game to win their second straight city championship. After sharing the league title with Visitation and Ignatius, the Panthers defeated both for their title. Panther B teams in the 5th, 7th and 8th grades also played for their respective grade championships, falling to their Viking opponents from Visitation in all three games.

And in A level championship games, the 6th graders coached by Chris Junker and the 7th graders coached by Greg Pearson fell to Viking teams in those championship games also.

Congratulations to all of the boys and coaches for another memorable season for their Panther teams.

Reminders

Traffic Flow at St. James Fields

If you had not already noticed, half of the parking lot at the Fields belonging to Heids' Lanes has been sealed and re-marked. With this upgrade, Heid's is looking for the middle driveway to be an IN only driveway. The north end driveway by the concession stand should be used for both IN and OUT for SJ events, and the south end driveway on the other side of the bowling alley is to be used as an OUT only path. Please use the driveways in this manner.

Please don't forget to drop off your empty aluminum cans at the SJAC Field recycling bin! After you have taken off the pop top tabs to send into school, bag up your cans and help fill this bin, which in turn will provide revenue back to the Athletic Club.
